  • Project consortium consisting of TU Dresden (Chairs of Transport Ecology and Computer Networks), Climate Alliance, and Cyface GmbH
  • Project’s goal: Automatical determination of information about the cycling infrastructure from sensor-based movement data of cyclists.
  • Requirement for reliable IaaS infrastructure which enables both real-time data conversion and horizontal scalability according to increasing user numbers
  • Provision of IaaS infrastructure, including scalable, high-available compute capacity, storage, monitoring, 24/7 support
  • Submission of best offer regarding price and security/data protection regulations among considered European IaaS providers
  • Conviction through energy-efficient operation of the underlying infrastructure
  • Close regional partnership; operation of the datacenter in Frankfurt/Main in direct proximity to the consortium partner Climate Alliance
  • Current considerations regarding company foundation take place in order to continue and expand research activities
  • Continuation of the partnership and  even an expansion by Cloud&Heat Managed Kubernetes is conceivable
