Training offer around the construction of energy-efficient data centres, increasing the sustainability of digital infrastructures and entry into waste heat utilisation.
Companies are increasingly faced with the challenge of improving the energy efficiency of their digital infrastructures. The energy optimisation of a data centre can be motivated by various factors, such as the goal of reducing the negative impact of data centres on the environment or the desire to reduce the costs associated with the high energy consumption of data centres. Another factor could be the need to comply with standards or legal obligations.
Learn more about the optimisation potential in new data centre construction.
Learn more about the potentials of waste heat recovery from data centres.
In our training courses (webinars and face-to-face events), we present energy basics, give an overview of key figures that you can use to evaluate the energy efficiency of a data centre and present practical, pragmatic solutions for planning and operating an optimally energetic data centre. Furthermore, we offer heat network operators the opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge about waste heat utilisation in data centres.
Modules 1-3 build on each other and can be booked as a package or individually.

Anne Weisemann has been with Cloud&Heat since 2016 and deals with the design of cooling systems for data centres. Her focus is on direct liquid cooling. This includes planning the cooling circuits of our own data centres, as well as advising other companies on the integration of liquid-cooled servers in new and existing buildings and the feasibility of waste heat utilisation.
Stefan Kuitunen has been working on the energy optimisation and balancing of industrial plants and systems with a focus on heating and cooling since 2009. After working in research at the Fraunhofer IVI for several years, he joined Cloud&Heat in 2019 as an engineer responsible for the operation and maintenance of data centre infrastructure and for advising customers in studies and workshops. Training participants benefit from the close link between theory and practical experience from everyday life in the data centre.
Daniel Scholz has been working at Cloud&Heat since 2022 as an engineer specialising in the operation and maintenance of data centre infrastructure as well as training on the topic of energy-efficient data centres. Daniel Scholz previously worked on the topics of energy efficiency, commissioning and data analysis of thermal systems at the Fraunhofer IVI.
