From start-up to corporate.

We look back on over ten years of company history.

Our milestones.

The foundation.

Prof. Dr Christof Fetzer and Dr Jens Struckmeier found AoTerra GmbH, a German cloud service provider, to develop sustainable solutions for the growing global demand for computing power. Cost-efficient cloud management and the automation of installation and monitoring routines for largely automated cloud operations are set up. On the hardware side, a highly innovative, largely self-developed hot water direct cooling system is installed for the first time, which makes use of the waste heat from servers.

Crowdfunding success.

883 investors invest one million euros in the company via the Seedmatch platform.

Renaming.

AoTerra becomes Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH. The previous products AoCloud and AoHeat are thus combined into a single strong brand.

New server generation.

Cloud&Heat Technologies presents the new server generation "Datacenter in a Box" (DiaB) for the secure and sustainable operation of a private and public cloud for companies. The DiaB forms the intellectual basis for the SecuStack Titan high-security solution later developed in collaboration with Lenovo and secunet, as well as the Cloud&Heat ATLAS digital infrastructure optimised for ML applications.

Winning the German Data Centre Award for the innovative energy and cost-efficient concept.

Cloud infrastructure in a shipping container.

Cloud&Heat Technologies is developing the world's first cloud infrastructure in a shipping container for the Norwegian company Envirotech.

Renewed award of the German Data Centre Prize for overall energy efficiency in the data centre. Last year, we were already pleased to receive the DRZP award.

Commissioning of the Eurotheum and Series B financing.

Commissioning of the public cloud in the data centre in the Eurotheum high-rise building in Frankfurt: Servers for
public cloud services are available. Their waste heat supports the heating of the offices and the hotel in the 111-metre-high building.

Successful Series B financing: ETF Partners from England and Inven Capital, Sicav, from the Czech Republic invest ten million euros in the further growth of Cloud&Heat Technologies.
