Partnership between envia TEL and Cloud&Heat Technologies: Managed Kubernetes in the Leipzig data center as an offer for companies that value regional partners

Cloud&Heat | News | Partnership | envia TEL | Managed Kubernetes | Datacenter Leipzig | Saxony

Cloud&Heat Technologies and envia TEL have entered into a co-operation to jointly develop a High-performance, modern IT offering at the envia TEL data centre in Leipzig. This offer is based on open source technologies, such as OpenStack and Kubernetesand offers a flexible, scalable cloud infrastructure on this basis. The regional partnership is proving to be particularly valuable as it provides customers with direct local contacts and offers the entire service provision from Saxony without external partners - a Saxon, digitally sovereign solution, so to speak.

The established cooperation combines the strengths of both Saxon companies: envia TEL has a data centre at a strategically optimal location in Leipzig, while Cloud&Heat Technologies, as an innovative cloud service and cloud technology provider from Dresden, has many years of expertise in the development and operation of open source cloud software. Together, they provide a comprehensive IT infrastructure for the region - from the data centre infrastructure to the operation of a cloud infrastructure (public cloud or on-prem), supported by managed Kubernetes and open source technologies. Cloud&Heat assumes full responsibility for the operation of Managed Kubernetes, which greatly simplifies the management and scaling of containerised applications. This allows envia TEL's business customers, as well as potential new customers developing and operating applications on cloud infrastructures, to remain fully focussed on their core business.

"I am delighted to be able to work with envia TEL to provide an exciting offer to customers with high demands in terms of service quality and resilience. In addition to the impressive data centre infrastructure, we were impressed by the DE-CIX connection in envia TEL's data centre, which allows us to offer connectivity to our range of services with low latency via numerous Internet providers."

The data centre in Leipzig guarantees an uninterrupted, sustainable power supply and a sophisticated security concept to protect sensitive data. Modern access and monitoring systems ensure smooth business operations. Another advantage of the location in Saxony is the connection to the DE-CIX Leipzig, a central internet node for central Germany. This enables faster data exchange and reduced latency times - both of which are a clear advantage for cloud computing and the operation of Managed Kubernetes. Future expansions of the infrastructure in Leipzig are already being planned in order to create the optimum conditions for various use cases.

"With Managed Kubernetes from our partner Cloud&Heat in the Leipzig data centre, it is now possible to obtain innovative and flexible solutions for the automated orchestration of Kubernetes containers. This enables our customers to optimise and secure their IT systems. We are convinced that this partnership represents significant added value for our customers."
