Cloud infrastructure as the basis for municipal CITY CYCLING campaign
Climate Alliance Services uses the cloud infrastructure of Cloud&Heat Technologies as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for the operation of central digital applications in municipal climate protection. One of the best-known applications is STADTRADELN, a Europe-wide campaign to promote sustainable mobility.
The platform processes and manages large amounts of personal data from local authorities, institutions and now over one million participants - the requirements for data protection, security and reliability are correspondingly high.
Project Objectives and Challenges
The aim was to provide a powerful and scalable cloud infrastructure that enables the reliable operation of data-intensive applications while meeting the highest requirements for data security and GDPR compliance.
Special challenges lay in:
the secure handling of sensitive user data,
compliance with European data protection standards,
and the sustainable and future-oriented alignment of the IT infrastructure.
