About MACHER30

Every year, the initiative "Macher30 - der Ehrenpreis des Ostens" honours personalities who have rendered outstanding social, political or economic services since 1989. Companies or projects led by the doers should have their origins in the new federal states but have a supraregional impact. The sponsors of the initiative - the Association of Berlin Merchants and Industrialists, the East German
Banking Association, Egon Zehnder International and the European School of Management and Technology - want the prize for the "doers" to be a
and honour their outstanding commitment. In 4 categories - Business, Science, Community and Newcomer - 12 winners were honoured at ESMT Berlin on 29 September.
