Cloud&Heat nominated for the Datacloud Global Awards

Yesterday evening our CEO Nicolas Röhrs and Stefan Reckling, Head of Business Development and Marketing at Cloud&Heat, took off with a flight to Monaco to attend the Datacloud Global Congress. From June 4-6, not only will exciting industry topics such as Cloud Challenges, Edge Evolution and Data Center Infrastructure be discussed, but also the Datacloud Global Awards will be bestowed, for which Cloud&Heat is nominated in category 4, the Data Center for Smart City Award.

Audience with Prince Albert II of Monaco

So far, the highlight of the Monaco trip has taken place alongside the Congress. This morning, Nicolas Röhrs and Stefan Reckling met with Prince Albert II in his palace. However, it wasn’t the first encounter for Cloud&Heat and the reigning prince. In 2018, at the presentation of the Next Generation Award in Dresden’s Frauenkirche, we had a conversation with Prince Albert II and discovered numerous similarities. For years he has championed sustainability, climate protection, and the conservation of bio-diversity around the world. His Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation serves to encourage people to behave in an environmentally responsible manner. With this in mind, Prince Albert used our short audience to learn more about our current projects.

Update (June 7, 2019):

Cloud&Heat narrowly missed the top award at the end of the day, but did take 2nd place for its Smart City concept. Nevertheless, the visit to Monaco was an absolute success. At the Datacloud Global Congress we had many interesting and constructive discussions with multiple companies and potential customers.
